The Alex Cowie bar is a small sports orientated room with a Pool Table, Dart Board, Juke Box and 50 inch plasma screen-ideal for watching big games or relaxing with friends or family.
Aside from pastimes and sport, this bar has what is generally considered to be the finest ceiling left in Aberdeen. This was painstakingly painted some 20 years ago by long term member Bob Abercrombie and is one of the features of the Club which will hopefully never be altered or interfered with.
The Main bar is a spacious social area often used by members on a day to day basis and also used for functions and special events by non-members. It can comfortably accommodate upwards of 100 people and has been used for occasions as diverse as horse racing nights, fundraisers and weddings.
The upstairs Function Room is one of the finest rooms in Queens Road. Traditionally designed but technically advanced it can be used for business meetings, seminars and private parties.
It has it’s own private, fully stocked bar with draught beer and full range of wines and spirits.
It also has two plasma screens, wireless Broadband, dance floor, and feature lighting, all in this spacious and bright room overlooking the most famous and magnificent Monkey Puzzle tree in Scotland. There is simply no finer place to entertain friends for private parties or host company meetings than this room.
It can comfortably seat 50 boardroom style, 70 classroom style.
The dining room is an attractive, light and spacious room overlooking Queen’s Road and is used for themed dining evenings, meetings, baby showers, private dinner parties and much more.
The Club has 3 full sized snooker tables all of which are meticulously maintained. Tables 1 and 2 are located in the John Chapman Snooker Room on the top floor of the Club and Table 3 in a private room.
The board room located on the first floor is perfect for all those important private meetings, the room can hold between 12-15 people.
